The Holy Family V: A brief conclusion about what I have learned so far
Thereby I would like to introduce my conclusion according to what I have learned about the Holy Family. I don't believe it means a lot of information to reflect about, but mainly I can summarise my conclusions with the following topics.
To begin with I think this has forced me to search for information on the Internet. Due to the fact the technology's subject is taught in English it also helped me improving my English skills. Besides we had to write this blog as well, so that it meant a plus in order to learn how to do something specific we are not used to.
As far as the content is concerned, I also had to investigate about some things. Antoni Gaudí's history was one example, and I did not even know how he died. I also had to ask for some help so as to obtain some knowledge about art and architecture, so that I could complete my posts talking about features and characteristics of the Holy Family. As a result, this also made me compare the style of the building with other styles such as the Romanic and the Gothic.
To sum up I think this little digital "paperwork" has been quite useful from my point of view. I hope I can keep improving my English in the future.

The Holy Family IV: An architectural and artistic gaze
I guess you have stayed tuned lately with the previous posts. Let's take look at the Holy Family from an up close scope, shall we?
Initially the most part of the building is based on the romanic and gothic style. Its basement takes several of the romanic art's characteristics, such as: a façade, a core, a lateral door, a chapel, some arches and some buttresses. The façade for instance always renders some pictures of iconical religious characters, these can be found either at the entrance or at the lateral doors (like in the Holy Family precisely).
Later on the core represents the heart of the building. It connects each corridor with their doors, and its end gazes up with the apse and several chappels along the area. Nevertheless, there is a manifold ensemble of arches and buttresses, which hold on the balance of the entire building. The arches' shape might vary depending on the architectural style.
By the way, talking about the the core and the apse I think this is a great and oportonous chance to show you one of the concerts that took place right there short time ago. Here I offer you a short track sung by Mónica Naranjo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJ3geGg_88k
Moving on to the gothic style, the Holy Family has some stained glass and beautiful rose windows. This is, as a matter of fact, this is one of the main characteristics of the Hall Family. Other features of the sacred building are located at the outside, like the flying buttresses and the pinnacles. The flying buttresses complete the initial job of the buttresses located down stairs on the top of the construction, whereas the pinnacles are just decorative pieces.

The Holy Family III: the holy parts of the sacred building
How does the Holy Family look like inwards? We have always been used to seeing the famous building from the outside, but only a few have seen it inside as visitors.
Overall there are until five parts that take part of the Holy Family: the crossing, the apse, the crypt, the Gaudi's tomb and the Nativity Façade. First of all the crossing represents the main shape of the Holy Family. As a consequence of its religious purpose it has the shape of a cross, which covers the ground floor of the whole building. The vertical corridor leads up to the apse.
Secondly there is the apse. The apse means the crown of the crossing, and it is like the stage of the Holy Family. Subsequently, the crypt and the Gaudi's tomb are located downstairs. The crypt is like another place where ceremonies can be held as well. The Gaudi's tomb, then again, is practically at the very same place. There visitors can render tribute to the well-known architect.

Last but not least, the Nativity façade artistic representation of the Jesuschrist birth on the whole. This can be found on the right side of the building. Despite that, the Holy Family is expected to include additional parts, even though it has not been finished yet. That could be for instance the future completion of the 18 towersthat will lead the Holy Family on the top of the famous building.

The Holy Family II: Who was Antoni Gaudí?
Most of people know about the Holy Family's creator. Antoni Gaudí i Cornet was a Spanish-Catalan architect born in Reus on the 25th June 1852, and he became a well-known domain expertise of the Catalan Modernism.
Gaudí's style can be broken down in two different main things: the well-known "trencadís" and a certain hate towards straight lines. In fact, Gaudí was also known for his strong dislike with straight lines and shapes, so that he was always trying to design buildings and other shapes wigh curved lines as much as he could. Then again, the "trencadís" is one of the most eventful ways to reflect his designs. One of the places that represents perfectly this kind of modern and innovative style if the Park Güell, where most of its design belongs to Gaudí's ideas.

The Holy Family I: General overview
The "Sagrada Família" (also known as the Holy Family) is a basilica in the middle of Barcelona. The construction started in 1882, and it is expected to be completed around 2026.
We must take into account that the building was not considered a basilica initially. It was not until the 2010, when the Pope Benedict XVI consecrated the minor Church by then as a basilica during a mass celebrated during one of its visits in the city.
